Responsibilities

The DevOps Lead will be responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency of the Software Development team as well as developing the tools necessary to manage application deployment. This individual will need to be a self-starter who is comfortable taking ownership of production deployments within multiple production environments including: Web, ERP, Reporting and Mobile Applications.

Duties:

* Develop and maintain automated build and deployment scripts for release management across all environments

* Design, develop and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment processes using DevOps tools like Visual Studio/TFS. (Jenkins, Ant/Mavan, Git/SVN, Nexus/Jfrog, Artifactory and Sonar Qube/Fortify)

* Build and deploy applications and database packages into multiple environments

* Response for administration of TFS and integration with other tools or plugins

* Develop and maintenance scripts using languages like C# (Python, Shell, PERL, Ruby, YAMI, Groovy, Jython)

* Develop and maintain configuration management, software version control processes, policies and procedures in accordance with guidelines and ensure team adherence on software development projects by meeting CMS XLC requirements

* Ensure the proper baseline identification of configuration items, perform periodic audits, and provide verification of version release configuration items.

* Track all problems and changes in product documents, reports changes and current configurations

* Apply any process improvement and engineering principles and best practices to organizational and program level process to ensure smooth build transition through multiple environments and development tracks

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

* At least 7-10 years' experience in Release Engineering / Dev Ops.

* Keen Familiarity with Agile Development including Continuous Integration.

* Hands on experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS)/VSTS as a source control tool, or other comparable technologies such as ClearCase, AccuRev or others.

* Hands on experience with MS SharePoint and MS SQL Server 2008/2012

* Strong automation skills using C# programming, PowerShell scripts

* Experience with both Agile and Waterfall SDLC

* Experience in a Software as Service environment a plus

* Working knowledge of object-oriented language

* Experience with reporting tools

* Exposure to automated testing, especially test-driven development

* Hands-on experience in software engineering / operations projects including cloud computing

* Experience using different tools for build automation, continuous integration/continuous delivery, release management, configuration management.

* Experience building CI/CD pipeline for distributed systems

* Experience in DevOps processes, tools, strategy and best practices

* Experience working with PaaS/IaaS frameworks (Microsoft Azure)

* Experience with Azure PowerShell and VSTS

* Agile/SCRUM experience, SAFe is a plus

* Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, both written and oral
