Senior Prevention Program Manager

About the Position: The individual selected for this position will work in the Prevention Division Central Office located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services. This position will operate under the general supervision of the Sr. Director of Prevention Services, developing and managing the day-to-day operations of designated statewide prevention initiatives, including Community/Coalition-Based Prevention Services. The responsibilities also encompass managing the prevention portion of the federal Substance Abuse Block Grant and Partnership for Success Grant, developing, and managing sub-recipient contracts, ensuring program requirements are met, developing funding proposals and reports, and supervising staff.

The incumbent will ensure compliance with the standards and best practice requirements of the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health Services and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) in managing and delivering care in programs.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Master's degree in public health, social work, psychology, or a related field and five years of program management experience or any related experience to include two years of supervisory experience and one-year budget oversight experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience managing complex initiatives in the Community/Coalition-Based Prevention Services, and Federal grants preferred.

NOTE: No substitution for bachelor’s degree or the required two years of supervisory experience and one-year budget oversight experience.
