Job Summary

At Laser Spine Institute, our Consultation Specialists provide direct support to our patients, within a world-class facility and patient-centric environment, by meeting with the patient face to face at their surgical consultation appointment within our surgical center facility. The primary objectives of the Consultation Specialist is to provide outstanding customer service to our patients, in a warm and professional manner, while simultaneously helping more patients get their lives back by increasing the consult conversion rate. The Consultation Specialist will have the opportunity and duty to work closely with the facility's administration and clinical staff while serving in a hybrid sales and scheduling role. Essential Functions - Duties & Responsibilities

* Must effectively communicate and understand all aspects of patient cycle: medical, financial (including insurance coverage) and scheduling.

* Drive Sales Initiatives (within scheduling function).

* Schedule patients in relation to given capacity availability and company goals.

* Achieve or exceed predetermined goals based on sales and company-wide goals.

* Conduct follow-up calls and emails on non-scheduled patients.

* Compensation is based on surgical volume from the Consultation Specialist

* Other duties as assigned

* Must be willing to travel 25% of the time

Qualifications & Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

* Must be a competitive, motivated individual looking for a fast-paced working environment.

* Must have computer (Microsoft Office and EMR), customer service and sales skills, be detail-oriented.

* Must demonstrate professional appearance, interpersonal skills and analytical abilities

* Must be compassionate


* High school diploma

* IF A CURRENT LSI EMPLOYEE: must have 1 years worth of experience in either the role of a Spine Care Consultant (Must be on a Senior, PSD, B2B or Pipeline Team at some point), Spine Care Scheduler, Spine Care Coordinator, Facility Scheduler, Master Scheduler or Consult Specialist

* 2 years' previous sales or customer service experience


* Bachelor's Degree or higher
