Responsibilities

  • Follows established safety procedures of the plant and the printing department.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain multi color offset presses (DESCO and KASE)
  • Reviews print job specifications to determine the most efficient press set up
  • Set up press with appropriate plates, blankets and inks
  • Make necessary color correction and/or press adjustments prior to production run to maintain quality specifications.
  • Monitor, clean, lubricate, and maintain presses as needed (basic mechanical understanding needed)
  • Provide direction, training, and guidance to other team members/ operators
  • Will coordinate with Quality and Maintenance personnel concerning product quality and machine operations/ malfunctions.
  • Will promptly correct machinery malfunctions, advising the department Manager of malfunctions and any parts ordering requirements providing part numbers, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Will utilize customer color standard charts and sample containers for color and print comparison.
  • Monitor ink inventories and related supplies
