Information Systems Manager

This position is responsible for the execution and support of the activities associated with the day-to-day I.S. operations at Frontier City and White Water Bay in Oklahoma City, OK. The ISM will support on-going corporate directives as well as manage any seasonal employees or site-specific third-party consultants. The ISM is responsible for maintaining I.S. systems throughout the facilitiy(ies) in both park and back-office areas. In conjunction with assigned activities and/or projects, the ISM is responsible for providing status reports to the Director, In-Park IS Operations and other IS corporate support teams with supporting documentation as required. Close integration with Six Flags local and corporate management is required for the execution of these tasks.


* Ensure Six Flags facility(ies) information systems infrastructure is properly maintained and operational.

* Supervise, develop, and lead the staff and operation of the Information Systems Department.

* Manage and monitor the Local Area Network (LAN) performance utilizing the various tools available.

* Establish and implement policies, procedures, and standards for the support of the LAN system insuring compliance with Six Flags Corporate Information Systems policies, procedures and security guidelines.

* Ensures that the POS network is properly supported with backup/contingencies and that all personnel have basic knowledge of the operating system.

* Provide software and hardware support for on-site operational and administrative systems, custom or 3rd party software, and corporate supported business systems.

* Provide strict adherence to the corporate security policies and procedures.

* Become proficient in support of other processing platforms, architectures, and systems used by Six Flags.

* Provide and coordinate on-site and off-site training for existing and new software and hardware.

* Work with Six Flags Corporate Information Systems in planning, executing, coordinating, and verification of software and hardware installation, implementation, testing, and upgrades, to ensure quality of systems operations and performance.

* Manage personal activities, blocking time on a regular basis for these activities, and reporting on such activities.

* Provides first level end-user support for all in park and back office users.

* Coordinate and escalate support issues as needed to the appropriate corporate and/or third party support teams.

* Continuously monitors and updates in the Six Flags inventory system, while following change management policies and procedures.

* Performing system and network engineering support for all park specific servers, corporate based servers and infrastructure.

* Document all end user help desk calls in the Six Flags help desk system

* Participation in monthly status calls to review corporate initiatives and individual park needs.

* Maintaining technical proficiency in areas deemed necessary to support the on-going and future operating environment.

* Evaluation of in-park needs and communication of such needs to the Director, In-Park IS Operations to assist in developing new systems to benefit the guest experience and operational efficiency.

* Communicates to all Six Flags concerned parties any existing or potential system issues that will affect operations issues. Proactively follows the Six Flags escalation and change control process.

* Prepares, maintains and submits activity/progress reports on a weekly basis.

* Monitors, troubleshoots local SFMedia Networks and audio hardware and software.

* Provide support and advice concerning current and future wiring needs and networking for the Park.

* Administer the System Access Control system.

* Responsible for IS Departmental Budget and forecasting.

* Other duties as assigned.


* Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Management Information System or a relevant IT related field is required.

* Knowledge of cabling infrastructure.

* Basic knowledge of audio and video systems such as: Media Matrix, Cobra Net, Minicom and ComQi hardware.

* Minimum of 5 years experience in systems engineering, systems support or in a technology-related industry.

* Skills in data, telecommunications, and computer programming.

* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

* Good organizational and project management skills.

* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Strong teamwork skills and ability to work productively across various departments

* Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
