Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides a variety of HR products and services in one or more of the following functional areas: recruitment, staffing, classification, position management and compensation.

Applies merit system principles to attract, develop, manage and retain a high quality and diverse workforce.

Researches, interprets and applies HRM laws, rules, regulation, policies, precedent decisions, etc. Participates in development of creative, results-driven approaches to employment services functions.

Consults with management for specific requests related to immediate problems of limited scope. Advises on and/or resolve moderately complex, non-controversial, well-precedented factual, procedural, and/or recurring issues for which there are one or more readily apparent solutions. The employee exercises judgment regarding the most appropriate approach that is in accordance with established procedures and practices.

Established policies/procedures provide detailed guidance for almost all assignments, with little or no room for discretion. Works under detailed instructions provided by the manager, team leader, or more experienced specialist. Regularly refers problems and work issues to the manager, team leader, or more experienced professional for guidance.

To be eligible for the Pathways Recent Graduates Program, an individual must, within the previous 2 years, have completed a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution. Therefore, you must have completed your educational program no later than the closing date of this announcement, 07/19/2018.

Preference eligible veterans who were precluded from applying due to their military service obligation begin their 2-year eligibility period upon release or discharge from active duty. Eligibility for veterans cannot exceed 6 years from the date on which they completed their degrees (or certification).

TRANSCRIPTS (must indicate date degree was conferred) are required at the time of application to verify program eligibility. If transcripts are not submitted at time of application, your application will be considered incomplete and will not be given further consideration.

To qualify for this position at the FV-F (FG/GS 5-9) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least 3 years of progressively responsible general work experience that demonstrates the ability to: analyze problems to identify significant factors; gather pertinent data; recognize solutions; plan and organize work and convey information, with at least one year equivalent to the FG/GS-4 level.,


Education Substitution: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, gained from an accredited college or university.,
