Sales Representative

Basic Energy Services Odessa, TX
Position Overview: Coordinates and implements sales activities for all services to Basic's customers. Familiar with and able to sell all lines of company business.

Reports to: Area Manager, District Manager, Area Superintendent, or Operations Manager

Directs Reports: None

Major duties:

* Develops sales plans and strategies for review and approval of the management

* Works territory assigned by management

* Maintains professional contact with customers which includes daily face-to-face sales calls

* In conjunction with management produces sales bids and conducts negotiations regarding sales activities

* Communicates daily with management team

* Keeps informed of competitor's activities and pricing through review of information from the field or other sources

* Works directly with other sales representatives

* Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines

* Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

* High school diploma, GED or equivalent education

* Knowledge of equipment and services being sold

* Proven sales record

* Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

* Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)

* Valid driver's license

* Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

Preferred:

* 2+ years of college

* Some management experience

Physical Requirements:

* Long periods of sitting and standing may be necessary

* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

* Exposure to extreme weather conditions

* Climbing and walking daily

* Driving daily to various locations

Typical working conditions and hazards:

* Work is performed in all weather conditions

* Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H2S respirator where required

* Potential hazards include working near or with heavy tools and moving machinery

* Potential exposure to loud noises, airborne toxins, solvents, flammable atmospheres and industrial chemicals
