Parts Manager

Responsible to: Senior Maintenance Manager/ District Manager

Position Summary: Supervise all activities relating to parts sales to effect the attainment

of FTSI goals regarding market share, revenues, gross profits, expenses and department

profit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the administration and training of all personnel assigned to the parts

department.

* Responsible for supervising and managing the Parts Department.

* Perform internal audits to ensure that the parts room is sufficiently stocked.

* Establish individual parts inventory levels and balance them for maximum turnover.

* Prepare an annual marketing plan and budget for the parts department.

* Monitor actual performance regularly to plan, ascertain reasons for any variances and

make necessary changes.

* Ensure that both the hard parts and retail parts are stored and maintained in an

organized and neat manner.

* Oversee Purchasing of supplies and the materials for the Parts Department.

* Establish weekly work schedules.

* Ensure technicians are adequately supplied with all parts and materials as needed.

* Maintain stock at a level that enables internal servicing and repair departments to

complete their work without delay.

* Maintain accurate records of parts replaced under warranty and details of faulty parts.

* Maintain awareness of current and projected market conditions

* Develop and implement appropriate strategies and programs to attain parts objectives.

* Conduct yearly physical inventory.

* Evaluate employee performance and goals.

* Develop monthly specials.

* Develop quotas for major customers.

* Develop computer reports to support market plan and inventory.

* Maintenance of facilities appearance, safety & functionality.

* Manage all facilities related & improvements as directed by the general manager.

* Performs other related duties as required.

Educational and Other Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Business or two to three years or equivalent experience required.

* Three years managerial responsibilities required.

* Certification in Inventory Management is preferred.

* Basic financial analysis skills.

* Knowledge of stock-control systems is a plus.

* Sensitive to confidential information.

* Must work independently and as a member of team

Mental and Physical Requirements:

* Able to read, speak and write English.

* Ability to use sophisticated computer software programs to achieve job functions.

* Sitting – at desk or computer station, standing, walking, speaking, hearing – frequent

* Bending/Stooping, twisting, lifting – occasional

* Gripping, reaching, writing, fingering (data entry), handling (paper, files, etc) – frequent

* Able to work under stressful conditions at times.

* Fine Motor Skills - typing, 10-key, ability to write for extended periods of time

* Communication - phone communication, communication with personnel and vendors

* Seeing - able to see the computer screen

* Climbing - able to go up and down stairs

* Position will require a minimum of 40 hours per week unless otherwise directed by

supervisor.
