Department Overview

PG&E’s Corporate Real Estate Strategy and Services (CRESS) organization is responsible for governing, planning, acquiring, designing constructing, operating, and maintaining 7.7 million square feet (sq. ft.) of facilities throughout PG&E’s 72,000 square mile service territory. These facilities include but are not limited to service centers, data centers, contact centers, office buildings, shops, warehouses, construction and equipment yards, vehicle maintenance garages, Customer Service Offices (CSO), and meeting and training facilities.

The Facilities Planning and Vendor Management department in CRESS is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational requirements and workflows for Facilities Operations to ensure timely, safe, and compliant inspections and work order management. This department also drives continuous improvement with facilities support functions, e.g., Corrective Action Program, compliance and operational controls, process workflows, lean management and continuous improvement, sustainability and change management for CRESS projects, and alliance partner and vendor management. In addition, this department is responsible for supporting and managing contractor and facility safety operations including the review of portfolio safety project plans, Grassroots Safety Team, and safety performance oversight and procedures.

Position Summary

This position supports change management including the development and implementation of communication plans for cross-functional CRESS high impact projects and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops the overall strategy and implements CRESS project change and communication plans for cross-functional high impact projects and initiatives
  • Promotes innovation, standardization, efficiency, affordability and continuous improvement
  • Acts as thought leader and partners with leaders, managers, work stream leads, delivery partners, etc. to be a value-added resource for the team to resolve sensitive or difficult issues, delivering relevant and focused communications and change management activities
  • Drafts and refines leadership talking points and executive presentation decks
  • Facilitates multiple points of view and solutions with multiple stakeholders, balancing client needs, CRESS & enterprise goals, requiring finesse and advanced influencing skills
  • Provides significant engagement and management of CRESS stakeholders and internal/external clients
  • Works collaboratively with peers and partner organizations to develop and implement processes and best practices that improve client satisfaction and productivity and reduce operational costs
  • Designs and implements creative and thoughtful ideas and solutions for various CRESS change management activities that include transitions, communications, training, strategy presentations, playbooks and surveys
  • Reviews and edits CRESS standards or procedures in collaboration with cross-functional subject matter experts
  • Analyzes CRESS workplace data including workspace, occupancy, organization hierarchy and lines of business and department information
  • Drafts, reviews and edits CRESS sustainability-related materials, providing communication and change support
  • Develops CRESS communication materials and trainings for workplace technologies and process changes

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • BA/BS in architecture, engineering, business or related real estate field required or equivalent experience
  • 10 years’ experience in project/program management
  • Prior experience working with large companies and preferably experience working at PG&E
  • Advanced skillset with MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Desired:

  • MA/MS in organizational change, communications or other related field
  • Experience working in or supporting the corporate real estate field in one or more areas such as Moves, Adds & Changes (MAC), Occupancy Planning, Workplace design, CRE systems, or relevant consulting and/or industry and functional experience
  • Experience in one or more change management methodologies, i.e. ADKAR, Prosci, Kotter, Bridges
  • Experience with one or more space management systems, i.e., FMI, Archibus, Serraview, Office Space, for a better understanding of workspace data
  • Experience with public speaking and delivering presentations in front of large groups in person and remote
