Director of Strategic Finance

The Director of Strategic Finance will be a direct report to the CEO. This person will work with senior management to model long term financial strategy and manage the planning and forecasting process. This includes liaising with key business managers to produce a 3-year financial road map for the organization. This individual will also be responsible for managing the monthly reporting process and leading a proactive FP&A process across the organization, driving ecommerce metric with strong knowledge of LTV within an ecommerce company, creating collaborative partnerships between Finance and the functional teams to better understand business needs and issues.

This role will provide support analytics to the business to assist them in making key decisions and identifying opportunities to advance business & financial strategy. This role is also responsible for assisting the CEO with the creation of Board packages, investor presentations, and other special projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Create strategic frameworks and methodologies to drive critical financial decisions

• Design, implement and lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process; trends, risks and opportunities

• Develop and drive a proactive, collaborative partnership between Finance and the business teams

• Prepare ad-hoc special analyses for the senior management team including Board and fund raising presentations, scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, etc.

• Continuously identify areas to streamline and improve the financial planning processes and tools • Structure, manage and coordinate complex cross organizational projects and processes with multiple stakeholders qualifications

 • BA in Finance or Accounting required. MBA strongly preferred.

 • Investment banking experience is highly preferred 

• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive work experience ideally in an ecommerce start-up company with demonstrated experience growing a company from a small start-up to a large established organization.

• A successful track record in setting priorities, strong analytic and organizational skills which support and enable sound decision making • Strong forecasting skills with the ability to identify and understand key business drivers

• Excellent analytical and data driven problem solving skills with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor

• Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across multiple stakeholders • Excellent presentation and writing skills and the ability to clearly communicate messages that link business issues, financial results, and strategy at the executive level.

• Strong interpersonal and collaborative team building skills; ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across multiple functions

• Superior Excel financial modeling skills and strong understanding of financial system databases

• Proven ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment without issue
