The paid summer internship program is offered to undergraduate students, primarily rising sophomores and juniors. The program is a combination of work experience, technical skill building and professional development; we seek applicants interested in growing in their professional capacities. We focus on verbal and written communication, creative thinking, work ethic, teamwork, networking, decision making, flexibility, problem-solving, critical thinking and conflict resolution. First-generation college students are highly encouraged to apply. If interested, both a resume and cover letter are required of all applicants.The Loomis Sayles summer internship provides a deep learning experience for high-achieving students who have not historically had exposure or access to the investment management industry.The credit research department has an opening for a paid undergraduate student in the summer internship program. The student applying should be a current sophomore or current junior.Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in fundamental municipal sector and issuer credit analysis with direct supervision from senior analystGather and distribute timely data to analystsConduct written analysis and make oral presentations· Complete credit research related projects that senior analyst requests

Qualifications

Working toward Bachelor’s degree with concentration or minor in finance, business, accounting, economics or mathematicsUnderstanding of financial statements with completed coursework in accounting and financial statement analysisProficiency in Word and Excel is desiredStrong interest in financial analysis and ability to source new informationQuick learner and attention to detailSolid written and verbal communication skills
