Marketing Content Writer

Description: Writes original copy for RSNA marketing projects and communications for print and web. Proofreads, edits, conducts research and interfaces with RSNA staff.

Responsibilities Include:


* Meets with marketing team and staff from respective departments to understand audiences, media, goals and key messages in order to write copy for marketing pieces.

* Researches topics, interviews experts for RSNA publications.

* Brainstorms and develops concepts for marketing projects and web content.

Content Creation

* Writes copy for marketing pieces including advertisements (print and digital), email, websites, direct mail, signage, brochures, newsletters (print and digital), letters and other marketing projects as assigned.

* Works closely with the web team and content strategy team to write, edit and proofread website copy for

* Provides samples for A/B testing of copy, evaluates results and refines copy for greatest impact.

* Prepares scripts for presentations, videos and tutorials as needed.

Review & Editing

* Utilizes best practices for each type of marketing piece and evaluation of past RSNA projects to construct high-quality messages that help to achieve the Society's goals.

* Helps maintain quality control of marketing pieces by serving as a proofreader on projects as assigned.

* Collaborates with content strategist to update the RSNA Marketing Style Guide; maintains organizational voice, style and brand standards in marketing and communications.

* Performs other duties as assigned.


* Bachelor's degree required, preferably in communications, journalism, English, PR or related field

* 3 - 5 years relevant professional experience in marketing environment

* Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills

* Ability to write for various channels including print, web, email, advertisements, signage, etc.

* Willingness to collaborate with teams and experts across the organization

* Ability to think strategically and use institutional knowledge, best practices to develop copy aligned with the objectives of the organization and departments

* Ability to write for audiences diverse in age, nationality, professional status, et

* Ability to write compelling sales messages to sell exhibit space, sponsorships, etc.

* Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects

* Keen attention to detail and accuracy

* Ability to summarize medical research in lay language

* Previous healthcare writing and/or association experience a plus
