R3 is seeking a Web Developer to join our marketing team to manage and enhance several of our company websites, as well as future web properties. Both sites are built on WordPress CMS. As a web developer on the R3 marketing team, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end website development, such as creating WordPress themes, providing more ‘plug and play’ functionality for two sites using advanced custom fields, adding content sections, optimizing sites for SEO, and managing all plugins and custom integrations.  

You will also be responsible for updating content on a daily basis via the CMS across the sites, including homepage carousels, adding events, text and imagery, managing all site integrations, posting podcasts, videos, etc. You also will be asked to create and delete new panels on pages, clone pages, add and update plug-ins and more.

This role requires a strong understanding of the latest industry trends, features and capabilities of a WordPress content management system, as well as SEO. Candidate must also have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards, and may be tapped to develop other web properties or capabilities from the ground up.  


  • Design, code, test, debug, and implement new features and functionality for corda.net and r3.com 
  • Manage the r3.com and corda.net CMS (i.e. non web dev requests) pipeline. This includes updating content on both sites; i.e. blogs, imagery, hero graphics, podcasts, research, events, videos, and more
  • Determine ideal pipeline management system for projects
  • Ensure all title tags, metatag descriptions are optimized for SEO (we use Yoast)
  • Manage SEO firm based in London and projects associated with it
  • Manage external web developer (pipeline is in Asana)
  • Ensure high-performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS
  • Manage and review each API integration and account service on an ongoing basis; keep abreast of all update notifications and latest versions of web plugins
  • Explore new plugins and integrate them following best practice
  • Support the marketing team with third party sites such as CVENT and Pardot landing pages
  • Work closely with external web development firm to oversee management of SSL certificates, Pantheon servers, plug-ins, latest security updates and more
  • Document website strategy, policies and processes and communicate with relevant stakeholders within the organization
  • Trouble-shoot and manage updates to form handler integrations with Pardot and Salesforce
  • Manage UTM and trackable links for campaigns
  • Explore dynamic content for future
  • Manage our websites’ Google and Bing presence


  • Experienced WordPress developer (familiarity with Advanced Custom Fields and the ability to build plug and play functionality)
  • Good understanding of Web 2.0 techniques and front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap
  • Experience building user interfaces for websites, web applications and mobile devices
  • Experience designing and developing responsive design websites for desktop and mobile
  • Experience supporting web and digital marketing initiatives, including experience with largescale global websites
  • Experience developing site architectures
  • Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
  • Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
  • Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
  • Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}
  • Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
  • Strong grasp of security principles. Object-oriented design, multimedia content development
  • SEO implementation experience and management of SEO firms is a strong plus
