As our first FP&A hire, you will partner with finance/accounting and functional teammates to develop and deliver forecasts and budget to actual reports that will help to drive meaningful business decisions. This role requires a combination of heads down data analysis and effective communication skills that frame findings and provide for alternative solutions.

What you'll do

  • Partner and work closely with finance/accounting and all functional teammates to deliver full P&L and cash forecasts, including variance analysis, on a regular basis
  • Create a post-close reporting package for senior management that includes an analysis of all opportunities and risks to the quarter and fiscal year
  • Lead and own the rolling quarterly forecast process from end to end
  • Responsible for loading all forecast versions into the financial reporting system, verifying accuracy of submissions
  • Ensure budget owners have full visibility on how they are performing against their budgets, clearing identifying and articulating key opportunities and risks to plan on a regular basis
  • Own certain components of the month-end close process, including a detailed variance analysis of both actuals to budget and actuals to prior
  • Work closely with functional teammates on vendor negotiations
  • Develop policies and procedures and participate in system and tool enhancements as necessary
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and related accounting tasks as needed

What we'd like to see

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field. Ideally the candidate would also be studying towards or have a professional accounting or finance qualification (such as CIMA, ACCA, CFA, ACA, CPA)
  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant work experience with a preference for a mix of startup and enterprise exposure
  • Strong Project Management and process design and modeling experience
  • Experience working in an international and matrixed environment
  • ERP accounting system and other financial analysis tools experience preferred
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship building skills               
  • Solid understanding of Accounting rules and regulations
