Assembly Equipment Operator

The primary functions of a Mezz Stocker/Picker is to put-away built/unbuilt assembly product to the proper location, to pick product to be assembled and to Pick chairs to be shipped.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

* Count received product to verify inventory accuracy

* Identify space needs and make appropriate adjustments

* Relocate staged material to proper locations

* Double stack pallets of product to save space using a pallet stacker

* Use scanning gun to make inventory movement entries

* Pick product to be assembled

* Document picked product for assembly stats by builder

* Audit locations for inventory accuracy

* Maintain proper appearance of assembly room

* Pallets: sorted and stacked neatly and safely

* Inspect and maintain electric pallet jacks and pallet stackers

* Observe all the safety requirements of Bob's Discount Furniture.

* Report hazardous situations immediately to Assembly Manager if unable to correct yourself.

* Pick product for Cross Dock deliveries.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Solid knowledge and competence on RP scanner gun

* Excellent physical condition

* Ability to move and lift heavy objects

* Good verbal and listening skills

* Strong interpersonal and human relations skills

Reporting Relationships

* Report to: Assembly Manager

Desired Qualifications

* High School diploma

* Warehouse experience
