Summary

The Director of Revenue Accounting will have overall responsibility for all aspects of revenue accounting which, in 2017, totaled $9.1B. This includes, but is not limited to, providing oversight to all processes and procedures related to how revenue is tracked, analyzed and reported. The successful candidate will be a demonstrated subject matter expert on accounting for all revenue streams. In addition, he/she will be a driven, self-starter; a collaborative and highly effective communicator, and someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The position will report directly to the Corporate Controller and will regularly interact with Frontier's senior leadership team and revenue producing groups across the organization.

Responsibilities

* Establish and maintain Frontier's revenue recognition policies and procedures, establishing and ensuring compliance with internal controls and ensuring a proper tone.

* Review and provide oversight for standard and non-standard revenue related journal entries

* Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of all revenue and receivable related accounts.

* Understand all processes that contribute to all Frontier's reported revenues and seek continual improvement of these processes.

* Lead the coordination efforts of both Internal and External Audits and reviews related to revenue accounting tasks/functions.

* Analyze revenue results, comparing actuals to actuals, budget and forecasts.

* Analyze revenue results for both internal and external financial reporting requirements.

* Liaise with other internal constituents (Financial Planning and Analysis, Consumer Division, Commercial Division related to Frontier revenue accounting matters

* Lead the revenue accounting team; providing coaching and performance management throughout the year

Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related degree

* MBA and/or CPA is preferred, but not required.

* Demonstrated knowledge GAAP

* Ten or more years of relevant experience, preferably having spent time in both public accounting and in the telecom industry

* Successful in collaborating and partnering with business teams to drive results

* Demonstrates an operational mindset with the ability to balance and deliver on the day-to-day operational goals while focusing on overall company objectives

* A proven track record of "continuous improvement" with an eye towards process improvements

* Works with a sense of urgency, with a balanced focus on those tasks and issues that are the most pressing for Frontier's financial and operating goals.

* Exceptional analytical skills; thorough in their review and analysis of data.

* Strong leadership skills with a desire to proactively mentor, motivate and manage teams

* Experience with project management and leading project teams

* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment

* Proficiency in MS office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint)
