As the Senior EDI Business Analyst (IT), you will establish and support B2B (business to business) solutions that enable the full lifecycle relationship between XPO, our customers, and 3rd party logistics providers. What you'll do on a typical day:

* Perform system configuration, mapping, testing, and management of EDI transactions and processes for new and existing customers

* Act as liaison between customers, 3rd party logistics providers, and/or trading partners and internal departments to implement EDI applications and enhancements

* Function as the subject matter expert on XPO operations on a self-directed applications support team

* Research and track data through multiple systems to ensure that data moves successfully between our systems and our customers' systems

* Analyze data, research electronic data interchange, and troubleshoot systems and applications to diagnose issues and determine solutions

* Guide prioritization of requirements based on business value, risk, architectural significance, and other drivers

* Develop and maintain training materials and systems documentation; participate in team reviews of requirement documents, design documents, and work products

* Assist with project management duties including status reports, estimating work efforts, and planning work assignments

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or technical area; or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training

* 7 years of cross-functional business experience including EDI system configuration and mapping, business analysis, IT solutions development, and customer relationships

* Experience on an EDI translator

* Working knowledge of IT software and application development methodologies, and project management methodologies

* Availability for 24/7 on-call application support, as needed; occasional travel

It'd be great if you also have:

* Experience on mainframe and COBOL; with SpecBuilder and Sentinel; mainframe Gentran 6.0 and/or Sterling Integrator

* Knowledge of transportation, logistics, and supply chain management

* Ability to provide guidance in agile development methodology

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience

* Effective listening, interviewing, and facilitation skills

* Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment

* Strong project and time management skills with ability to organize, negotiate, and prioritize work
