The Amazon Robotics Workcell Technology team is looking for a leader who will own and deliver on the next generation of human directed workstations. In this role you will own both cloud and edge software systems. You will work at the intersection of human-robotic interactions, cloud computing and AI based software systems. You don't need to be an expert in any of these areas, you just need a strong sense of learn and be curious and customer obsession!

As a SDM, you will:

· Independently manage a software development team

· Own and manage software systems with thousands of users

· Be empowered to operate independently with minimal oversight

· Provide technical guidance and direction to your team

· Own the roadmap for your team and set the long term vision

Basic Qualifications

· 7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams

· Experience partnering with product OR program management teams

· 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers

· 3+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

Preffered Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

· 1+ years experience in leading and managing user facing software systems

· Experience with Amazon Web Services - AWS

· Experience leading and managing cloud software services and have an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability

· Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently

· Strong communication skills, ability to work well in a team environment
