Retail Production Manager In Training

The Retail Production Manager In Training is responsible for learning all aspects of the Production Manager role. The Production Manager reports to the Store Manager and handles all production goal tracking, quality and quantity checks as well as managing the retail production staff. The position acts as a primary key holder and fills in for the Store Manager when out of the office.


* Ensure that quality customer service is presented and provided by employees in a timely and courteous manner to all customers, donors and other employees.

* Achieve daily, weekly and monthly production goals for the store, reaching out to senior management when short on donations.

* Ensure every rack/cart of processed goods receives a quality, quantity review.

* Perform a salvage audit daily to ensure the quality of the donated goods on the floor and quality donations are not in salvage processing.

* Communicate with the Store Management Team the needs from the D.C. to ensure production and sales goals will be met.

* E-Commerce sort and ensure training for E-Commerce categories, brands, etc.

* Handle computer interaction for email, reports to management and other required communication.

* Train new staff and coach existing staff to follow the Production Manual guidelines, holding staff accountable for meeting processing goals.

* Provide general Store Management when the Store Manager is out of the office.

* Ensure that store and surrounding premises are kept clean and free of safety hazards, and that safety procedures are understood and followed by all store employees.

* Ensure compliance with all GWSN policies provided in the Team Member Goodwill Guidebook, GII standards, and safety and security regulations.


* Minimum of 3 years of supervisory retail production experience preferred.

* Minimum of 3 years setting and tracking goals.

* Minimum of 3 years handling salvage audits or similar type of audits.

* Must possess strong interpersonal skills through command of the English language in order to work with customers and employees.

* Must exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics.

* Requires a high level of adaptability and flexibility.

* No record or disclosure of criminal conviction within 7 years from date of application that indicates a tendency towards theft, violence, dishonesty, deceit, drug manufacture or sale, moral turpitude, or predatory behavior.

* Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States of America.

* Must be fluent in English; bilingual a plus.
