Network Technician
Duties and responsibilities
As Network Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining an efficient and operational network for the company. This network will include any equipment relating to voice or data. The company is always growing so the Network Technician will be responsible for assisting with future projects that will benefit the company. All actions you preform must adhere to our security policies and any HIPAA regulations. The Network Technician role involves you working alongside our staff and clients within the company to troubleshoot any issues that may come forth.
  • Deploy/Maintain/Troubleshoot equipment for data communication networks including: routers, switches, firewalls, wireless APs, Cisco Call manager, mobile devices, and computers.
  • Assist Network Administrator in networking problems, deployment, and resolution.
  • Providing support to end users.
  • Travel to various facilities throughout Ohio and Michigan.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
  • High school diploma OR GED equivalent; AND two years information technology experience with networking operations; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • General knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, and mobile operating systems.
  • General knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies.
  • General knowledge of using Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • A valid State Driver’s License
  • CompTIA Network+
Preferred:
  • CCENT/CCNA
  • Cisco Call manager knowledge
  • Telecommunication knowledge such as POTS, CENTREX, TDM, SIP trunks, and PRI
  • Mobile Device Management using Mobile Iron
  • Experience with using Solar Winds Orin network monitoring suite
Working Hours
Monday through Friday (pick times from below)
  1. 8AM to 5PM
  2. 9AM to 6PM
Due to the nature of this work, shared responsibility of extended support, which includes "on call", will be required during non-business hours. In addition, evenings, nights, and weekend work may be necessary to preform upgrades or complete a project.
