Senior Manager, Cash & Account Receivable

The Senior Manager of Cash & Accounts Receivable is responsible for the overall health and accuracy of all North American QAD based, customer accounts including timely and accurate cash applications. The successful candidate will need to be someone who is willing to get into the details from the Order to Cash function. The Company recently migrated to an OCR technology used primarily in Dispute Management and Cash Applications. The role is dynamic in nature including a wide customer base both internally and externally. This position calls for an extremely energetic, results and customer service oriented individual to work directly with the company's senior project & management teams and interact with other members of the company's accounting and finance team in connection with process and procedural enhancements. The candidate must be articulate and have strong communication skills.


* Manage the planning, strategic goals and objectives of both the accounts receivable and cash applications department

* Supervise staff to ensure completion of goals and development of associates in accordance with Corporate and departmental goals

* Build strong relationships with other functional leads such as with customer services, sales/agents, logistics and pricing

* Continue to streamline back end OTC functionality leveraging High Radius and RPA toolsets

* Drive the identification, escalation and resolution of Customer Deductions, in a timely basis through the continued leveraging of High Radius, including workflow approvals and maintaining KPI's to drive process improvements through the OTC function.

* Participate in the development of departmental goals and objectives and be a catalyst for change.

* Responsible for SOX Review and Compliance.

* Manage the continued migrations of disparate Watts divisions to Mfg/Pro-QAD.

* Provide additional insight into areas of increased efficiencies by becoming a subject matter expert within the role.

* Closely monitor and review Customer accounts, including the establishment of Credit Limits using a Dunn & Bradstreet toolset, establishment of specific reserves at quarter end and close review on Watts' top 100 customers.

* Constant willingness to challenge the status quo.


* BA in Business, Finance or Accounting


* Direct Reports – currently a team of 9

* Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to

* Enforce company safety policies


* At least 3 years' experience as an AR Cash Applications Manager

* Prior experience with Dispute Management selling to Retailers is beneficial

* Prior experience in a high volume invoicing and cash applications environment along with applying third party tool sets to facilitate efficiencies and effectiveness

* 7 – 10 years of progressive work experience in the AR/Cash Applications functional area

* Travel Required: 10% - Approximately 10% or less.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
