to work in our Norfolk General Hospital!


Hours: Full Time 36 hours/wk.
Shift: Rotating

Experience:

1 year Clinical Experience (required) 

Certification:
-BLS Support ( required)
-EMT-B (required) or
-Completion of US Military Corps School (required) or 
-Currently enrolled in RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy (required)  

Position Overview:

This position will work within our Norfolk General Hospital providing support to our patients and the nursing care staff and physicians with implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients. This position will perform patient procedures and treatment under supervision.

Other

De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire. BLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents. New incumbents must have one of the following in addition to the minimum Education : 1. EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR 2. Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR 3. Current student enrolled in clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy). Candidates with prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years will also be considered in lieu of the 3 criteria above.
