Territory Coordinator - Sales

This sales position works very closely with the Regional Managers
assigned to the territory and is required to successfully meet or exceed
territory sales goals, partner with new and existing customers to help grow
their businesses and increase market share. This position requires a
burning desire to win and personal values which align with those of American
Building Components.

Below are the expectations of the Territory Coordinator Position and
not in order of importance.

  • Ability to prospect utilizing the phone for new business and growth opportunities with
    existing customers.

  • Conduct and submit Customer Needs Analysis surveys as directed by the Sales manager.

  • Conduct Prospect Surveys as directed by the Sales Manager, Regional Manager or General

  • Follow through till close with leads provided by internal and external source’s

  • Follow through till close on all quotes. Quotes must be entered within 2 hours
    of receiving, and followed up on

  • Report trends in the market including competitor activities and pricing to the sales
    leadership team

  • Take orders from new and existing customers in your territory and other territories
    if needed. Responsiveness to incoming calls is paramount.

  • Ensure orders are keyed correctly- Attention to detail on all aspects

  • Ensure customer issues are dealt with in a timely manner

  • Make sure customer credits are written and processed with 48 hours.

  • Attend the weekly sales meeting

  • Assist the Regional Manager in achieving their new business, revenue, and ton goals
    for the region

  • Work closely with the Operations team to ensure customer orders are delivered as agreed

  • Act as a team player at all times by performing tasks as requested by sales leadership

  • Must work as needed during the busy season to make sure customers’ orders are taken care of

  • Work a minimum of 40 hours a week

  • Dress and speak professionally at all times

  • Be able to make periodic interstate travel & overnight stays

  • Have a reliable 4 door vehicle and a valid driver’s license.

  • Qualifications:

    Four year degree in business or affiliated curriculum desirable, but not required

    Minimum 2-3 years experience in a sales role preferred

    High ability and experienced multi-tasking skills
    Strong organization skills

    Proficient in Excel, Work and Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite)
    Construction background desired

    Industry experience or a role in Building Material Sales desired

  • Knowledge of “Needs Based” selling skills

  • General knowledge of the metal roofing and siding business
