Day to Day:

Chromalloy is a global supplier of advanced repairs and services for gas turbines used in aviation and land-based applications and repairs. The company refurbishes and manufactures engine components, and designs and manufactures FAA-approved replacement parts for aircraft engines that are certified to meet or exceed the performance, reliability and durability specifications of original equipment manufacturer parts. In support of land-based vehicles, Chromalloy employs identical engineering disciplines used to produce its FAA-certified parts. Chromalloy serves commercial, military and industrial turbine engine operators worldwide.


Front line leaders are responsible for running the day to day operations of their own mini business (cell). They are accountable for all business performance metrics on Safety, Quality, Delivery, TAT, and Cost Productivity using Lean / CI / 5s tools to positively impact and drive the performance of the cell(s). They are responsible for streamlining production processes, driving cost reduction measures, driving Cost of poor quality (CoPQ) reduction, meeting deadlines and HR related functions around employee management. Front line leaders develop methods to most effectively utilize personnel and resources in the best possible ways. They determine whether overtime is needed for certain projects and whether additional equipment is necessary.


* Responsible and accountable for all business performance metrics on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost Productivity using Lean / CI / 5s tools to positively impact and drive the performance of the cell(s)

* Responsible for planning /scheduling multi shift resource management (people, machines, material)

* Responsible for leading and implementing Lean / CI / 5s. Driving continuous flow environment through 6sigma levels of quality and process improvement.

* Responsible for communication flow down, leading team in group environment, running shift start up priority meetings.

* Responsible for all aspects of performance management. Including but not limited to:

* Employee time management and payroll for all team members.

* Addressing employee achievement and discipline issues when needed.

* Assuring manpower coverage to meet production requirements through cross training plans to cover PTO gaps on the team

* Responsible for all employee performance reviews on time with appropriate feedback.

* Responsible for employee engagement, coaching and training team



* Bachelor's degree required (Technical degree preferred, not required)


* Must have 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing background

* Strong Planning /scheduling skills required; including but not limited to multi shift resource management (people, machines, material)

* Strong mechanical aptitude. Process & product knowledge preferred.

* Strong background in leading and implementing Lean / CI / 5s. Must have work experience leading in continuous flow environment driving 6sigma levels of quality and process improvement.

* Must have experience in a leadership role

* Must have strong written and oral communication skills. Detail orientated with communication, intergroup interactions, and orientation skills that display leadership/EI/coaching and training abilities.

* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
