Quality Technician (2nd Shift)
Shift times: M -F 3pm-11:30pm (2nd Shift)
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Repair wire bobbins through routine scheduled maintenance
Repair Wire Bobbin parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
Order Bobbin repair parts as appropriate
Performs product testing, raw material testing, and periodic control testing and maintains appropriate documentation.
Performs lot control and certification testing, and issues certifications as appropriate.
Issues and maintains test reports and certification documentation.
Tracks hose requiring lot control, certification or periodic control testing; issues release when testing is complete.
Assists in analyzing product test failures.
Assists with gauge calibration and calibration records for all lab equipment and all measuring devices used throughout the facility. Assist outside contractors with gauge calibrations, as needed, e.g. gaining access to plant, ensuring contractor(s) receive the required safety training and wearing required PPE. May need to assist with finding location of gauges.
Monitors usage of lab supplies and orders replenishments as needed.
Cleans and maintains lab and lab equipment.
Communicates with co-workers, management, internal and external customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Actively participates in Continuous Improvement (Lean, 8D, Six Sigma, etc…) activities assigned to the Quality Area.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Must be good with hands and familiar with mechanic type tools
• High School Diploma or GED from an Accredited Institution
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
