Our Treasury and Insurance Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the compilation of Treasury data that will be used to manage the operational and strategic cash needs of Macmillan US. Additionally, this position will be responsible for assisting in the management of the Holtzbrinck Publishing Group local insurance portfolio.

What you will do:

  • Assist Senior Treasury and Insurance Analyst in developing and maintaining daily/monthly cash forecasts
  • Assist Senior Treasury and Insurance Analyst in developing annual cash budget and subsequent quarterly reforecasts
  • Assist with collecting and analyzing data needed for developing annual and updated benefit rates used in the budget process
  • Assist Senior Treasury and Insurance Analyst in gathering underlying data for FX exposure
  • Assist Senior Treasury and Insurance Analyst with inputting treasury data into TIP
  • Complete and distribute daily liquidity reports to senior management
  • Assist Senior Treasury and Insurance Analyst with period end reporting (including downloading bank statements from the on-line banking system)
  • Review and approve/reject new vendor banking information in SAP
  • Assist the Accounting team in determining where unidentified bank receipts should be booked in the general ledger
  • Assist Senior Treasury and Insurance Analyst with inputting treasury data into TIP
  • Assist Senior Financial Analyst with managing petty cash and remote desktop deposits
  • Review internal requests for Certificates of Insurance for completeness and correctness
  • Request for the issuance of Certificates of Insurance from our insurance broker
  • Maintain database of Certificates of Insurance (both issued and received)
  • Assist with compiling data needed for the annual insurance renewals
  • Additional tasks as needed

What you'll bring:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge in Excel including ability to develop and maintain detailed spreadsheets
  • Good computer aptitude
  • Above average math skills
  • Ability to read and interpret insurance policies
  • Ability to work independently

Experience/Education:

  • Entry Level Position
  • 1 – 2 year work experience in a Business Office environment preferred
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Business Management preferred
