Supervisor, Search Marketing

The Paid Search/SEM Supervisor will demonstrate the ability to execute client projects and deliverables of paid search disciplines across client verticals and service platforms. The PPC Leader will report into the Search Director and is responsible for leading and managing the execution of Paid Search/SEM campaigns and strategies, performance on all accounts against KPIs. This position plays an integral role in the development and growth of the paid search channel team and the service offering.


* Develop strategy in partnership with client services team and PPC Director

* Ultimate accountability for the execution of strategy and achievement of client KPIs

* Serve as the channel expert, partnering with clients and other channel delivery teams, making credible, holistic strategic recommendations that drive their ROI

* Execution & analysis of paid search beta tests & new platforms & vendors

* Accountable for the delivery of all projects to agreed deadlines

* Ultimate accountability for pacing and managing account budgets

* Main point of contact for Search Engines and third party reps

* Responsible for the management and overall career development of the PPC team

* Ensure best practice and adoption of new features or processes

* Plan, manage, execute Paid Search/Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns, including but not limited to account setup, strategy development, organization, and management

* Responsible for ongoing optimization efforts to meet campaign objectives, including daily management of campaign budgets, on-site conversion actions, bid management, negative keyword strategies, website and category exclusions , ad creative, and landing page revisions based on performance history and the client's objectives

* Daily use of reporting, analytics, and trend tools, including but not limited to Google Analytics, ComScore

* Audit both assigned client accounts and assist other accounts when needed

* Execution & analysis of paid search beta tests & new platforms & vendors

* Proactively identify opportunities for growth and regularly communicate them with the client


* Mastery of Paid Search, with the ability to serve as an advanced discipline leader, while collaborating effectively with other agency capabilities to meet common goals and drive client ROI

* Demonstrated ability to understand and leverage technology to solve marketing challenges

* Adept at managing client expectations as it relates to scope and delivery of service

* Must be able to draw critical analysis from data and make specific recommendations; adapt and change strategies and recommendations based on data sets

* Strong client and team leadership qualities, contributes to company's thought leadership on PPC industry topics and participates in new business pitches


* Experience in managing large scale, complex multi-channel campaigns, with an emphasis on Paid Search/PPC/SEM across Search Engines

* Deep understanding of how Paid Search / SEM interacts with Display Media, Paid Social, SEO, Affiliate, Feeds, Mobile, Social and Attribution

* Expert level mastery of Marin, Kenshoo, DS3, ComScore, Excel, DoubleClick and other relevant tools and platforms

* Google Analytics and Adwords Certifications

* Ability to think strategically and identify and resolve problems in a client-centric environment

* Experience working with financial data and budgets

* 4-5 years of experience in a digital agency, with a focus on PPC/SEM

* Bachelors Degree Required
