The Role: The role of the Sr. Commercial Portfolio Manager is to be the internal liaison working closely with sales and order administration to ensure smooth processing of all account transactions, while also being in a client-facing role, supporting the overall Commercial team in all aspects of account management. You will be in charge of the sales fulfilment process from an operations standpoint, which will include proposal creation, contract development and order execution. This position also helps increase the capacity of the Global Majors team to enable Relationship Manager and Commercial Managers to focus on the more complex sales/account activities. Ultimately, this role ensures continuity of coverage and high responsiveness to client demands. Additionally, the Sr. Commercial Portfolio Manager is to work closely with commercial leadership to accurately account for monthly sales and produce accurate forecasts, as well monitor risk accounts and support the Commercial team in generating overall revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

* Assist Commercial team in account management, contract renewals management

* Prepare collateral for negotiations and sales closure for Global Majors accounts (client/market research)

* Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing business base. Communicate with clients regarding all Platts licenses issues and direct their resolution. Act as an internal key contact for all client issues, collaborating closely with Relationships Managers

* Lead end to end sales fulfillment process

* Collaborate with Commercial Manager and Relationships Managers to ensure smooth client experience

* Own and adhere departmental standards and processes

* Work closely with senior leadership on commercially oriented projects.

Skills:

* Consultative sales and negotiation skills experience preferred

* Excellent organization and communication skills both written and verbal; Must utilize strong phone, interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment to engage effectively with clients and other functions globally.

* Strong ability to execute against a well thought out and transparent plan.

* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/tasks while working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. With strong time management skill and results oriented

* Highly proficient in systems (Oracle, Salesforce, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – Tableau knowledge a plus

* Proven ability to thrive and excel in a fast paced dynamic environment with high performance expectations. Must be able to work independently, take initiative to resolve tasks with a can do attitude and have a financial analytical mindset

* Ability to travel occasionally, work long hours and weekends

Multi-lingual in relevant languages and strong multi-cultural awareness.
