Univision Communications is looking for a highly motivated senior leader to lead the technology department servicing Univision's Distribution Sales, Ad Sales, Marketing, Traffic, and Research teams across the Univision enterprise: broadcast & cable networks, TV stations, radio stations and digital platforms. Reporting to the CIO, the SVP's role is to assure the successful execution of the company's business mission through development and deployment of the company's technology presence. This requires understanding the company's existing media businesses, understanding growth areas in the industry, and building and executing on the technology vision for revenue systems in support of meeting the company's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and support the company's vision, strategy and values
  • Lead all aspects of technology strategy and roadmap development, management of multimillion-dollar capital and operating budget, growth of strategic technology partnerships, and oversee all key technology programs in support of the Sales, Traffic & Research business teams
  • Lead team by sharing knowledge, providing mentorship, and educating staff and partners, on technological vision, opportunities, and challenges
  • Lead a hybrid team of internal employees and external managed service providers to deliver application management services supporting key business service level agreements.
  • Provide strong functional and technical knowledge and support of Network and Local Ad Sales, Research and Traffic functions, processes and platforms
  • Manage a portfolio of applications supporting Network and Local Ad Sales, Research and Traffic including Wide Orbit, Dealmaker, Operative, Strata, Matrix, Salesforce.com, GripIt, Medea and Nielsen research products
  • Identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company's services, including identification of competitive services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to the business success
  • Work in partnership with other department heads, as an advisor to identify technology changes and enhancements that improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provide leadership to the ETS team in support of the company's culture, mission and values
  • Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms for delivering the company's services
  • Implement the vision by identifying and prioritizing initiatives and defining plans for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all key services
  • Assist in establishing governance processes to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately, and the organization's resources are used responsibly
  • Communicate the company's technology strategy to all Sales, Traffic & Research stakeholders
  • Manage ETS staff, outsourced partners and key vendors in support of the systems' suite
  • Execute on key business technology programs in partnership with Corporate/Divisional engagement leads
  • Maintain operational excellence and SLAs for core ETS services

Required Skills & Experience:

  • BS degree in computer science, business, management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in technology management, ideally within the Media industry
  • Distinctive people skills with a proven track record of influencing, driving change, and stakeholder management
  • Strong organization skills, especially managing complex projects, with ability to organize others around you
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform in a dynamic environment and comfort working in ambiguity
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Strong financial management and vendor contract negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence, high quality standards, and attention to detail
  • Experience installing and leading the adoption of best practice processes, methods, and technologies
  • Experienced in managing a hybrid, multi-level team of internal employees and external managed service providers to deliver application management services supporting key business service level agreements.
  • Strong functional and technical knowledge of Network and Local Ad Sales, Research and Traffic functions, processes and industry platforms
  • Experience with Network and Local Ad Sales, Research and Traffic platforms including Wide Orbit, Dealmaker, Operative, Strata, Matrix, Salesforce.com, GripIt, Medea and Nielsen research products

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work from offices in New York, NY or Teaneck, NJ with occasional travel to other Univision locations
  • Employment/education will be verified
