Who You'll Be Working With:

Under the direction of our Senior Director of Market Operations you will serve as a Training Director to support the transformation efforts of a health care organization as they transition to value based care. This individual will support organizational performance improvement and workflow standardization for Population Health services. The job involves implementing the company's operations training efforts via workshops, one-on-one sessions and on-the-job training. Other important duties include performing training needs analysis, delivering skills training, procedural training and ensuring that employees are well trained to achieve operational excellence.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Work with the SOMOS Training Committee and based on Committee guidance, coordinate and provide systems and process training to all levels of staff within the SOMOS organization. Training topics will include: established policies, standardized processes/workflows, process improvement initiatives, and best practices across ambulatory practices.

* Collaborate with SOMOS Leadership and Training Committee to conduct comprehensive needs assessments to prioritize training topics and competencies, and to ensure training fulfills the mission and objectives of SOMOS team.

* Regularly assesses the training needs of staff using interviews, surveys, observation, audits, and quality improvement data and facilitates the development of departmental training goals.

* Evaluate and track training requests for the SOMOS Training Committee.

* Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to deepen knowledge of content to facilitate the ability to provide training

* Collaborate with Training Committee, Evolent Central and SOMOS leadership on specific rollout and implementation of training plans.

* Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to design training curricula using active, engaging training methodologies (e.g. scenario-based, situational-based, role plays, inbox activities, etc.).

* Apply appropriate learning principles to the design of training programs; especially scripts, scenarios, activities, role plays and exercises for training on support tools and the soft skills related to patient engagement (e.g., motivational interviewing, self-management support, transtheoretical model, shared decision making, etc.)

* Incorporate a variety of instructional methods and activities to ensure learning objectives are achieved, performance outcomes are met, and staff are well-equipped to practice the skills trained.

* Develop instructor-led training materials, including: facilitator guides, participant guides, PowerPoint slides, online learning assets, and job aids, etc.

* When necessary, engage third-party organizations and vendors to deliver training on specialized topics. Coordinate and manage training sessions.

* Independently deliver trainings to staff for a variety of training topics.

* Adapt the training program and curricula based on the evolving needs of the learners and specific job requirements.

* Develop and document quality standards for training (e.g. training style guide, facilitator guide, etc.).

* Observe training to ensure curricula are followed and instructed correctly; provides updates and feedback to the Training Committee, and external vendors.

* Manage coordination and logistics of training sessions

The Experience You Need (Required):

* Bachelor's Degree

* Minimum of four years of training experience related to a wide variety of computer software programs, preferably in a health care setting. Professional training experience a major plus.

Finishing Touches (Preferred):

* Fluency in a foreign language (Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese preferred)

* Ability to connect with people and understand the challenges they face

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, as well as EMR experience

* Knowledge of customer service–related concepts.

* Knowledge of instructional adult learning techniques and equipment, human resources development and quality management concepts.

* Knowledge of current trends and issues in professional training and development.

* Knowledge of how to identify education and training needs in health care setting and direct related program development and instruction.
