Job summary

We are currently seeking an NFL Business Analyst to manage inventory, reporting and analysis of the Amazon Thursday Night Football (TNF) and other sports properties. You will be entering in the early stages of the formation of the TNF/Sports sales organization. You will be part of an innovative, fast-moving team focused on analyzing, strategizing and reporting on inventory, revenue and performance data to help drive results against the premier sports property in the industry, while also providing guidance and vision to enhancing the process, systems, reporting and operations of the TNF Sales organization. You will work closely with the TNF Sales, Planning, Operations, Inventory and Product teams to create and deploy reports and analysis as well as refine processes, best practices and create requirements for operational excellence in the seasons to come. This role is part of the Global Advertising Sales organization and based in NYC.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage TNF/Sports inventory, in-game and shoulder programming
  • Analyze and model TNF and Sports sales strategies
  • Develop and deploy working models to track and report on inventory pipeline
  • Execute granular revenue, marketplace, category and performance reporting capabilities
  • Develop and execute models and strategy to manage liability/delivery across TNF
  • Develop processes to efficiently distribute and notify core stakeholders of required actions based on analysis and/or performance-based TNF data
  • Create and deploy scenario modelling capabilities (canned and ad hoc) in terms of markets, pricing, inventory management, category, program formats, DAI and automation-based capabilities
  • Become a subject matter expert in terms of TNF data, requirements and system enhancements needed to optimize analytics and reporting

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ Years relevant professional experience in media/digital/linear analytics and reporting
  • Working understanding of the digital/tv media marketplace, including upfronts, holding company/agency relationships,
  • Proven track record of building and creating new reports and analysis
  • Strong communication and presentations skills
  • Superior Excel skills
  • Experience with data modelling and visualization tools
  • Comfort with large data sets
  • Superior organization skills
  • Ability to handle a wide range of subject matter and a fast paced environment

Preffered Qualifications

  • Major media company or publisher side experience preferred
  • Understanding of Salesforce/CRM tools and workflow
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in new and undefined spaces
  • Ability to create new and innovative solutions and processes based on customer feedback and technology capabilities
  • Ability to articulate longer term needs or strategies
