Position Description

The Publications Manager/Senior Manager reports directly to the Senior Director/Head, Publications, US Medical Affairs, and will work closely with various members of the organization (Clinical, Preclinical. Physics. HEOR and Medical Affairs).

Position Summary:

The position will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of medical publications with a major focus on medical writing. The position will be integral to publication functions including:

Support development and medical writing of preclinical publications (manuscripts and abstracts)

Co-ordinate internal review of publications and submit to congresses and journals

Ensure and promote compliance with standards of good publication practice

Work with internal authors to gather data and develop content

On site-support at scientific congresses as needed

Build relations and contacts with congresses and journals

A preclinical scientific background with strong writing skills with self-authored papers

Degrees (PhD, MD) in related science fields (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology)

Relevant publications writing experience in publication agency setting

1-2 years of publications experience in pharmaceutical or device industry (preferred)

1-2 years of oncology experience (preferred)

Working knowledge of legal and regulatory environment, with corresponding Guidelines (OIG, ICMJE, ACCME),

Must have excellent written and verbal skills; proficiency in power point, Excel, and Project Management software

Able to travel to congresses as needed

Able to adapt and change in a shifting environment

Able to meet deadlines and strong project management skills

A passionate, self-driven individual who can work well in small and large teams

Support the manuscript development and writing from concept to submission. Support development and submission of abstracts to appropriate congresses. Coordinates publication review with cross functions (Preclinical and Physics teams). Responsible for managing publication shared drive database of TTFields congress presentations and publications.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Participates in internal meetings, prepares reports and presentations, administrative duties. Literature searches. Supports department needs and serve as a resource

Knowledge of Oncology indications of interest to Novocure
