POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Talent Acquisition duties include being responsible for implementing Talent Acquisition strategies to hire the best talent into the organization. These duties include: identifying, screening, interviewing candidates, pipelining talent for future needs, developing and extending offers. In performing at the Manager level this role is expected to contribute to and at times lead initiatives in the areas noted above as well as greater HR initiatives as required. Should be adept at managing the ATS system and data collection to run metrics and regular reporting. Needs to possess good candidate and vendor management skills with the ability to negotiate with and close candidates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

* Recruiting – Recruit for open positions at all levels and partner with hiring managers on developing recruiting strategies and the review of talent pools. Produce job offers and partner with compensation on appropriate offer packages. Conduct all in person and phone interviews and manage debriefs. Develop and extend offers and stay connected with new hires prior to arrival to ensure superior new hire experience.

* Talent Technology- Responsible for helping implement a new ATS, maintaining the Applicant Tracking System and making changes as needed to ensure that the system is in line with current recruiting strategies. Participate in upgrading project and adding efficiencies (background checking linkage etc..). Manage the employee referral process.

* Vendor management- assess best firms to work with, track the quality of services provided by vendors to refine list and reduce expenses when possible.

* Provide direction and guidance to Coordinator, Talent Acquisition and internal staff for managing the interview scheduling and offer process in conjunction with Executive Director, HR. Ensure that issues are handled promptly and professionally while keeping an eye on the quality of candidates being sourced and the time it takes to hire for each role.

* Manage and/or contribute to HR projects/initiatives as assigned, i.e interview training/culture training and other diverse projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition leader with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant professional recruitment experience within pharma/biopharma required. Significant expertise in a finding and hiring hard to find talent in multiple areas within a pharma company including: medical affairs, regulatory, various corporate functions, commercial (sales and marketing), finance, legal, IT as well niche roles spanning various disciplines and regions.

BA/BS Degree required, advanced degree a plus.

Experience (e.g. Jobs, supervisory, industry, international, etc…):

5-7 + years Talent Acquisition experience required. Exposure to other HR areas highly regarded, i.e. Employee Relations, Organizational Development, Training and Development, Comp & Bens. At least 3-5 with a Biotech/Pharma company experience required.

* Knowledge of relevant Federal and State laws

* Good problem solving skills

* Excellent neogiation skills

* Ability to work with ambiguity and in a rapidly changing environment
