Assistant Analyst, National Radio Investment

Reports to: Analyst, National Radio Investment

The following are the responsibilities and duties of the Assistant Analyst, National Radio Investment. This is not an all-inclusive list and will vary by account assignment.


The Assistant Analyst is the entry-level position within the National Radio Investment group. He/she is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the various accounts which includes some of the following and support of the overall team’s efforts:

n Maintain programming and supplier files

n Run research reports using Act One

n Maintain all CPP requests

n Track costs by property and network

n Handle trafficking

n Conduct Verance (accountability reports) analyses of buys weekly

n Perform post-analyses

n Maintain all added-value and follow-up

n Assist Analyst(s) with preparation and revisions of buy proposals

n Track the progression of all buys

n Resolve billing discrepancies

n Process all contracts and supplements

n Attend the OMD Media Foundations Training program to learn:

– Media concepts and terminology

– Media fundamentals (media math, plan development, etc.)

– Application of Checkmate

– Media building blocks (television, radio, internet, etc.)

– Presentation skills

– Writing skills

– Business etiquette and ethics

n Develop media knowledge base in preparation for media responsibilities

n Learn research tools, marketplace dynamics and program offerings

n Attend internal and external meetings and presentations

n Keep abreast of industry trends through advertising and media trade journals

n Begin to develop relationships with suppliers



n Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university

n Interest in the principles of advertising, marketing and media

– Exhibit proficiency with computer programs, but specifically Excel

n Verbal/Written Communication Skills
