Fulfillment Analyst

Warby Parker New York, NY
Ever wonder how our glasses end up customer's hands? The Supply Chain team at Warby Parker is looking for a new Fulfillment Analyst to help make sure that all happens smoothly. This person will use their quantitative skills and attention to detail to manage fulfillment operations, be the main point of contact for our manufacturing labs, and implement decisions that will result in an amazing customer experience. Above all, working through complex problems and partnering with internal/external team members to implement solutions is your bread and butter. Sound like your cup of tea? Read on:

What you'll do:

* Identify and drive operational performance within our fulfillment network by reducing order lead time, improving operational processes, optimizing volume across the network, and building strategic partnerships

* Manage network allocation targets to balance order distribution with lead time and gross margin goals, analyze large data sets to identify root causes and propose recommended changes to the allocation strategy

* Collaborate with our Product Strategy team to launch new products, new prescription ranges, and new lens types – submitting requests for sample orders, following up on testing, troubleshooting potential fulfillment issues, and ensuring proper order transmission to the labs

* Monitor and fix daily order, shipping, and tech issues within our lab network – creating and updating any and all necessary tech tickets

* Partner with Finance to review and approve lab invoices and investigate discrepancies on a monthly basis

* Coordinate special projects with the labs, including implementation of external partnership programs, and submitting requests for sample orders and new product testing

* Monitor inventory levels at the labs and proactively address discrepancies and backorders

Who you are:

* 2+ years of supply chain related experience

* Highly organized with a passion for perfection and process improvement

* A curious mind with a desire to play detective, not easily daunted by big data sets or unclear paths to reach our goals: comfortable using Excel, with an interest in quantitative work and analysis

* A proactive thinker who can work independently and collaboratively with a team and particularly with external partners

* Well-spoken and well-written with attention to detail and discretion when dealing with a variety of partners

* Exceptional team player who is resourceful, flexible, and super positive with an eagerness to learn on a fast-paced team

* Ability to balance multiple high-level projects at the same time

Extra credit:

* Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain -- previous experience includes lab or manufacturing oversight, vendor management, capacity analysis/allocation of resources

* Basic knowledge of optics or optical fulfillment processes

* Experience using SQL

About us:

Warby Parker was founded in 2010 with a lofty objective: to offer designer eyewear at a revolutionary price while leading the way for socially conscious businesses. By circumventing traditional channels and designing our frames in house, we're able to offer insanely high-quality eyewear at decidedly non-insane prices (i.e., from $95 with prescription lenses—a fraction of the going price!).

In the last eight years, we've grown to over 60 retail locations in the U.S. and Canada, opened our first optical lab in upstate New York, and launched two of our own iOS apps. And for three years running, Fast Company has named us one of the world's most innovative companies.

We also hold ourselves to the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility. This means lots of different things, like operating carbon-neutrally and distributing a pair of glasses to someone in need for every pair we sell. (We're big believers that businesses can scale and be profitable while doing good in the world.)

Of course, all work and no play makes an extremely dull office, and no one likes an extremely dull office. (We sure don't.) As an employee at Warby Parker, you can look forward to company outings, guest speakers, volunteering opportunities, and other brain- (and/or taste-bud-) stimulating activities. It also doesn't hurt that our team is just great company.

Some benefits and perks of working at Warby Parker:

* Health, vision, and dental insurance

* Flexible "My Time" vacation policy

* Retirement savings plan with a company match

* Parental leave (non-birthing parents included)

* Cell phone plan reimbursement

* A health-and-wellness stipend

* Free eyewear (plus discounts for friends and family)

* And more (just ask!)
