Roles &Responsibilities:

TheClinical Research Assistant I assists in the daily activities of clinicalresearch studies, including collection and organization of study information.Assists in preparing grant applications and documents (e.g., InstitutionalReview Board, Grants and Contracts Office), and provides clerical support toClinical Research Coordinators and others in assigned area.

Dutiesand Responsibilities:

* Assistsin the activities related to clinical research studies including but notlimited to: answering phone calls, screening participants for eligibility,administering lifestyle questionnaires

* Collectsand records study data. Inputs information into databases

* Assistsin preparing grant applications, IRB/GCO for submission and filings

* Maintainssource documents and subject files in accordance with hospital procedures.Ensures accurate and complete compilation of subject data through chart reviews

* Assistsin coordination of study-related activities and meetings, including schedulingand keeping minutes

* Assistswith literature searches and manuscript preparation

* Performsother related duties


* Bachelor'sdegree in psychology or related field, OR be nearing completion of a Bachelor'sdegree with 1 years of related research experience

* Candidatemust have a minimum of one-year of research experience in psychiatry.Experience in schizophrenia/psychosis research preferred

* Candidatemust have intermediate level skills in all Microsoft Office applications, aswell as basic knowledge of SPSS statistical package

* Candidatemust have excellent written and oral communication skills and experience inresearch. Candidate must have excellent organizational and record keepingskills

* Candidatemust have experience in conducting literature searches, preparingbibliographies, and contributing to papers for peer-reviewed journals
