Electrical Engineer

Permanent position: A global leader in consulting, engineering, and commissioning services is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their New York team. This Engineer will be responsible for designing large projects, preparing reports and specifications, and providing a very high level of technical leadership. Candidates with design experience in federal, healthcare, commercial, and mission critical projects are highly desirable.

Responsibilities for the Electrical Engineer

  • Provide consulting services, including preparation of due diligence reports, gap analyses, and feasibility reports
  • Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects
  • Prepare proposals and administer project contracts between the firm and the client, including Add Service Agreements
  • Participate in QA/QC process of completed work by staff
  • Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects
  • Responsible for managing the function of projects (contract management, client expectations, tight project schedule control, project financials, ensuring optimal project information flow)

Requirements for the Electrical Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Must have a current EIT or PE registration as an Electrical Engineer
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience working in a consulting firm required
  • Candidate should possess a strong ability to coordinate between MEP and Low Voltage trades, as well as discuss technical aspects of other trades at a high level
  • Latest version of AutoCAD and REVIT experience
