We're looking for a Data Analyst. You are already a SQL jockey, but that's just the start. You're creative and know how to structure analyses. You like finding and telling the story from the data. Gene Zelazny would be proud of how you communicate data both clearly and persuasively. And of course, you display excellent attention to detail and have already found the typo in this job description.

What You Will Do:

* Be the go-to expert among a team of data-hungry product managers, designers, engineers, and business managers

* Work with people throughout the organization to uncover new insights from our data

* Manage work prioritization by asking the right questions

* Collaborate with the product, business, and functional teams to assess product performance and identify new areas of innovation

* Improve our business intelligence by building new easy-to-use reports in Tableau

About You:

* BA/BS; degree in mathematics, economics, finance or statistics is a plus

* 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in tech or online industries

* Strong proven experience pulling data via SQL in high-volume, event-based logging systems

* Expert at Excel

* Ability to generate crisp and compelling data visualizations and be a strong communicator of results

* Experience with business intelligence and dashboard generation

* Good problem solving skills and organizational skills

* An energetic, fun, and creative approach to getting the job done

Nice-to-Haves:

* Experience with advanced business intelligence / dashboarding systems (Tableau, Qlikview)

* Experience with data mining toolsets (SAS, SPSS, R, Matlab, Python)

* Experience with large dataset technologies (Vertica, Teradata, Redshift, Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Pig)

* Familiarity with advertising data exchanges and real-time bidding

* Understanding of the digital media / online advertising landscape
