Roles &Responsibilities:

TheClinical Research Coordinator I (CRC) at the Alzheimer's Disease ResearchCenter manages clinical studies sponsored by the NIH and industry that exploretreatment for older adult patient with Alzheimer's disease and othermemory-related diseases. It is the CRC's responsibility to assist PrincipalInvestigator in program operations and start up, budget negotiation, overseebudget signatory administrative elements, oversee collection of data under PIsupervision including performance of study visit tasks, manage all regulatoryfolders and FDA requirements, report to the IRB, and collaborate with outsidevendors to ensure the safety of the patients and accuracy of data reporting.S/he is the main point of contact for all patients in the ADRC and must possessexcellent communication and follow-up skills, respect patient privacy, andpossess minimum office / professional skills to collect, record, and utilizedata in these trials.

Dutiesand Responsibilities:

* Assistthe Principal Investigator in the conduct of clinical trials and studiesincluding preparing IRB/GCO submissions, regulatory filing, psychometrictesting, collecting data and laboratory specimen, recruiting patients, reportingAdverse Events and Serious Adverse Events.

* Accountablefor management of case report forms and subject and regulatory binders forindustry / sponsor / IRB audits, administer neuropsychological battery ofcognitive test for NIH-mandated initiative.

* Obtaininformed consent under supervision of Principal Investigator, Clinical ResearchManager, or Senior Clinical Research Coordinator for studies enrollingvulnerable subjects, and for studies involving genetic tests, independentlyobtain informed consent for other clinical studies.

* Screenand coordinate; including documentation of the consent process, and schedulingof subjects and necessary personnel and administration of all patient visits.

* Chartdata entry and query resolution as requested by Research Supervisor and PIs forvarious clinical trials and studies.

* Prepareand present research charts for consensus diagnosis and enter findings into NationalUniform Data Systems.

* Assistanceon ALL center studies and trials (i.e. knowledge of all studies in order toassist with referrals and coverage to various projects conducted within thecenter).

* Performsother related duties.

Requirements:

* BAor BS; social sciences or pre-medical studies preferred

* 1year in research environment preferred

* Computerand General Skills:

* Excellentwritten and oral communication skills

* Excellentteaching skills

* Exceptionalattention to detail and accuracy

* AdvancedMS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
