Blackstone Alternative Asset Management (BAAM®), Blackstone's Hedge Fund Solutions platform, is the world's largest discretionary investor in hedge funds, with approximately $79 billion in assets under management. BAAM manages a diversified set of businesses including a customized solutions business, a special situations platform, a hedge fund seeding business, an open-ended mutual fund platform and a business that purchases stakes in established alternative asset managers. Job Title:

Investor Relations and Business Development ("IRBD"), Analyst

Job Description:

The Analyst will be involved in supporting investor relations and client servicing efforts for Asia based clients of Blackstone's Hedge Fund Solutions (BAAM) business. The Analyst will be based in New York and partner with Blackstone IRBD professionals based in Hong Kong and Singapore to cover BAAM's Asia based clients. The Analyst will have significant interface with members of BAAM's investment team in addition to the global BAAM IRBD team. The Analyst will also gain exposure to other groups across the firm (including operations, reporting, legal and compliance, corporate finance, and External Relations and Strategy). The Analyst will represent Blackstone and interface with our clients directly. Furthermore, the Analyst will:

* Spearhead work related to client deliverables and partner with the NY based investment, operations and legal teams for such deliverables

* Be responsible for knowledge of client portfolios and communicate with clients on new manager fundings, investment guidelines, client consents, etc.

* Respond to ad hoc client inquiries

* Work on broad IRBD team projects around new business initiatives and product lines

* Conduct market research and prepare investor materials

* Complete due diligence requests and create investor profiles

* Provide investor relations diligence support to BAAM investors globally


Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. Prior internship or work experience at a financial services firm is preferred. The successful candidate should have 1-2 years of prior work experience and must have an undergraduate degree with a strong GPA.
