Roles &Responsibilities:

The Mount Sinai Kidney Biorepository is an important researchresource within the Division of Nephrology. Our goal is to build a repositoryof biological samples (kidney tissue, blood, and urine) from patientsundergoing native kidney biopsies to be utilized in the many basic science andclinical research projects that are ongoing within the Division.

The position of Associate Researcher/ Coordinator will involveconsenting both outpatient and inpatient kidney biopsy patients for studyparticipation, collection of urine, blood, and biopsy tissue samples from patients,and processing of urine and blood samples for storage in dedicatedBiorepository freezers. Additionally, the coordinator will use the electronicsystems Freezerworks and Redcap for the organization and storage of biosamplesand clinical information, respectively. There will also be an opportunity toparticipate in novel biomarker and genetic studies in chronic kidney disease.

Requirements:

Education:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in science or related field.

Experience:

* 1-2 years of research experience preferred
