AOG Controller

Position Summary:

The AOG Controller works with Maintenance Control to provide materiel support for daily aircraft operations. The Controller coodinates logistics and purchasing of items to minimize the amount of Aircraft on Ground (AOG) time. The AOG Controller will assist with the support of purchasing, Loans & Borrows, and material logistics for critical items throughout the system to recover an OOS aircraft

Essential Responsibilities:

* Support Maintenance Control in the handling of requisitions related to critical materiel needs of the operation, including the purchase of materiel or services as required

* Execute transactions for Purchases, Loans & Borrows in compliance with the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements as required

* Perform receiving inspection drop shipment process accordingly

* Research parts for interchangeability and higher assembly

* Procurement of materials in an expedited basis through vendors on the AVL and 121 carriers in accordance the GMM & FARs

* Oversee and move critical materiel and tooling through logistics and transportation management

* Recovery of parts after and OOS events with focus on the hazmat shipping process as necessary

* Tracks requisitions and updates the M&E system accordingly

* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma

* Two (2) years' experience working in an aircraft maintenance or materials environment

* Valid Hazmat Certified or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of start date

* Valid Receiving Inspection Certification or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of start date

* Currently in possession of a valid passport or equivalent travel documents to travel freely in and out of all JetBlue destinations

* Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets JetBlue Airways' insurance standards

* Working knowledge of inventory management

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

* Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision

* Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)

* Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge

* Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance

* Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

* Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test (when applicable).

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Business or Aviation discipline

* Two (2) years commercial aviation experience in materiel operations

* Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate

* Regular attendance and punctuality

* Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

* Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

* Upholding JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understanding how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Work Environment:

* Normal office environment

* Shift work required

Physical Effort:

* Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently. (Light)
