The Payroll Analyst will contribute to accurate and timely payroll processing. This position is responsible for all activities related to the preparation, running and closing of payroll. The ideal candidate has in-house, hands-on payroll experience, is detail-oriented and able to work independently or in a group setting. The position requires customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure accurate processing and recording of multi state payroll for ~10,000 employees

* Oversee replication from Employee Central (EC) to Employee Central Payroll (ECP).

* Reconcile payroll reports with timekeeping reports to ensure accuracy

* Maintain replication error logs

* Create and run various ad hoc reports out of payroll system as needed

* Reconcile and process payroll liability funding

* Support system testing as required

* Assist with internal and external audits and inquiries as necessary

* Process garnishments in payroll system

* Process off cycle manual checks

* Assist with year-end tasks related to W-2 processing

* Perform year-end processing and reconciliation of payroll accounts

* Understand and apply company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures

* Respond to employee questions and troubleshooting issues regarding payroll

* Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations

* Other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years of hands-on payroll experience

* Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization

* Multi-state payroll experience required

* Strong Excel skills are required

* Excellent organizational and time management skills with concern for detail and accuracy

* Strong work ethic and team player

* Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills

* Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Requirements:

* BS/BA in Business Administration or Accounting preferred

* Payroll Certified Professional (CPP) designation

* SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) experience preferred

* Workforce Software experience preferred

* Canada payroll experience a plus

* Understand government regulations
