Senior Analyst, Quality Assurance

Manager, Quality Assurance


  • Deliver accurate green coffee analyses and blending instructions consistent with standards necessary for the release and control of all incoming, in process and blended green coffee quality
  • Proficient in green coffee blend planning, blend writing and blend confirmation functions to provide blending instructions to an external service provider for execution
  • Balance inventory and schedule constraints with blending guidelines and standards to determine green coffee blend recipes
  • Accountable for key quality results and systems impacting, lab verification, records traceability, training, pest control, and holds & positive release Quality Key Elements.
  • Drive operational excellence and ensure compliance with BRC, Quality Key Elements and regulatory requirements
  • Qualify and maintain skills as a green coffee cupper by completing an extensive 18-month qualification program, sampling a minimum of 2000 samples at 85% accuracy
  • Proficient in the preparation, roasting and cupping evaluation of individual green coffee components and blends
  • Participate/Lead quality defect root cause analysis investigations
  • Develop and implement cost reduction and work process improvement projects
  • Execute quality assurance laboratory analytical testing to deliver accurate green coffee quality analyses, and reporting into Oracle and IMS systems
  • Work collaboratively with 3rd party Service company, Corporate Green Coffee Planning and Quality Assurance to build effective relationships to drive key business objectives



  • A Bachelor's Degree is required


  • Previous quality lab experience is preferred


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrate results in driving continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate a “flow to the work“ mentality to meet the changing business needs
  • Effectively interface with multiple internal functions as well as external suppliers
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 4 times per year
