To oversee a small coffee cart that stocks all items needed to service Harrahs guest on a daily basis. To oversee the smooth operation of guest satisfaction.


* Addresses guests in a friendly and courteous manner.

* Assures guest of accurate and complete order.

* Accounts for beginning cash register bankroll and all cash, and complimentary receipts.

* Checks computer cash register each shift to ensure proper performance. Maintains reports as assigned.

* Maintains the appropriate supplies needed for the proper performance of duties.

* Clears assigned cash register at completion of shift and transports cash, tapes and checks to checkout vault area and hotel front desk.

* Rings receipts in a timely manner to ensure proper payment for service.

* Oversees the smooth operation of Coffee Cart in the absence of the Room Service Supervisor.

* Demonstrates Harrah's Spotlight 5 behaviors: Initiates Friendly Greeting, Smiles and Makes Eye Contact,

* Demonstrates Upbeat and Positive Attitude, Checks for Satisfaction, Provides a Warm Farewell.

* Maintains a neat, clean and orderly work area at all times. Restocks cart at the end of each shift to ensure a smooth opening for the next morning's shift.


* High school diploma or GED required. 1-year experience in customer service.

* Prior experience as a cashier, preferably in the hospitality industry is a necessity. Ability to work independently and with a team.

* Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when required.

* Good written and verbal telephone communication skills. Fluent and literate in English.

* Mobility and dexterity to reach overhead, bend, walk back and forth from phone to register; flexibility in fingers and hands to operate cash register and adding machine and to make change.

* Mathematical skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Comprehension of computer, cash register, and adding machine.


* Must be able to maneuver to all areas of assigned Banquet/Room Service kitchen throughout entire shift.

* Must be able to accurately and quickly process all cash transactions. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.

* Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.

* Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
