Area Industrial Sales Manager (949-773)

* Develop a business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.

* Responsible for the performance and development of the Sales Personnel.

* Prepare action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.

* Initiate and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.

* Lead weekly sales meetings with sales personnel to track quotation activity, follow up & close rates.

* Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.

* Maintain contact with clients to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.

* Conduct one-on-one review with all Sales Personnel to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Sales Personnel performance.

* Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.

* Working with internal sales application personnel provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.

* Assist Sales Personnel in preparation of proposals and presentations.

* Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

* Recruit, test, and hire Sales Personnel based on criteria agreed upon by senior management.

* Insures that all Sales Personnel meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.

* Delegate authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.

* Sets examples for Sales Personnel in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.

* Conduct regular coaching and counseling with Sales Personnel to build motivation and selling skills.

* Ability to communicate effectively with upper management or supervisor all aspects and conditions of ongoing repairs.

* Maintain attendance and punctuality at highest level of standard.

* Maintain exemplary conduct, attitude, appearance and team effort involvement.

* Demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

* Must be available for overnight travel as required.

* Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

* 5-7 years of experience in sales management preferably in industrial power distribution business.

* Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, MBA or post graduate degree preferred.

* Strong understanding of customers, market dynamics and requirements.

* Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Proficiency with all MS software programs.

* Results-oriented, self-starter and excellent organizational skills.
