Job Summary

Coordinates and administers the nursing activities in the Ambulatory Care area. Provides rehabilitative nursing care for pediatric patients and their families.

Essential Job Functions

* Displays competency in obtaining and interpreting the patients behavior based upon an understanding of cognitive, biophysical, and aging processes. Displays an understanding of the developmental needs of the patient when planning and implementing

* Demonstrates evidence of use of the nursing process to meet patient and family health care needs in the Ambulatory Care setting. Performs and documents nursing care according to hospital and departmental policy.

* Implements appropriate and individualized patient and family education within time frames defined by hospital and departmental policy.

* Understands the importance the interdisciplinary process. Functions as a rehab nurse in a team structure. Promotes continuity of nursing care and interdisciplinary interventions.

* Under the direction of Ambulatory Care Manager coordinates and supervises nursing activities in Ambulatory Care.

* Recognizes and respects patient|family rights in a culturally and religiously sensitive environment of care.

* Requests guidance from Manager, VP of Nursing and other resources when appropriate.

* Performs patient scheduling and other clerical duties as necessary.

* Completes all competence assessment requirements (mandatory education, infection control, clinical competencies, etc.) within times frames.

* Accomplishes all individual goals as outlined in Section VII.

RequirementsLicense

* Current New Jersey RN license and BLS certification.

* Per-Diem Traveler position; Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

* *Traveling between our New Brunswick, Hamilton and Toms River sites.
