A large non-profit healthcare system with multiple hospitals in Texas is hiring a Nurse Director to lead the PACU, Pre-Op and Pre-Admission Testing units of their perioperative team. This important Nurse Director position will report to the Administrative Director of Surgical Services and work along side an experienced Operating Room Clinical Director. The tenure team of staff RNs, Charge Nurses and Sterile Processing professionals are experienced and many of them have CNOR or CPAN credentials.
The Perioperative Services Nurse Director will play a vital role monitoring patient flow and patient experience from during the surgical experience. The Nurse Director will work with department leadership to insure HCAPS, Physician Engagement and Employee Satisfaction scores remain high and the Nurse Director will keep patient experience at the forefront of their decision making. The Nurse Director leading the PACU, Pre-Op and Pre-Admission Testing units will be part of department leadership meetings, grooming staff, working with department educators and handling general human resources tasks within their unit.
The Surgical Services department at this small sized hospital is outfitted with:
- 7 Operating Rooms
- 8 Pre-Op Areas
- 8 PACU Bays
The operating room staff performs a high volume of orthopedic cases and a variety of plastic surgeries. In addition, this hospital is excited to of the da Vinci Surgical Robot as an option for minimally invasive procedures.
