Tax Analyst - International

Job Description

The Tax Analyst will assist with the preparation and review of US tax filings relating to international operations including the calculation of supporting earnings and profits, foreign tax credits, estimated payments and extensions. Identify enhancements to the income tax filing process as well as opportunities to reduce the US effective tax rate. Team with other tax COEs to perform interim tax close processes and respond to examiner information requests.

Key Accountabilities:

Service Delivery

* Prepare and review US Federal consolidated and separate legal entity pro forma tax returns including quarterly estimates, extensions and amended tax return filings using Tax Systems (i.e. CORPTax, CCH Integrator)

* Assist with annual preparation of state and local income and franchise tax returns

* Support monthly and quarterly tax close activities, including preparation of tax provision, reconciliation of tax general ledger accounts and identification of potential FIN48 reserves.

* Prepare reconciliation of recorded tax provision to filed tax returns (i.e. book to return adjustments)

* Support the Tax Defense COE in understanding the positions taken on the tax return and prepare draft responses to examiner requests for information

* Continuously identify enhancements to the income tax filing process as well as opportunities to reduce the US effective tax rate

* Maintain key controls

Strategy Alignment and Business Partnerships

* Establish, improve, and execute tax processes and analyses required to meet the team's objectives

* Align course of action and maintain collaborative relationships with the Tax Reporting, Accounting and Defense COEs and well as other Tax Consulting COE members.

Develop Talent

* Seek and take advantage of individual professional development opportunities and strive to achieve the highest degree of competency.

Education:

* Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting required

* CPA certificate preferred

* MST/MBA a plus

Desired Experience:

* Min 1-5 years of federal or international tax experience, including tax accounting, in a large multinational corporation or public accounting firm

* Experience in International Tax a plus
