The IT Manufacturing Asset Reliability Product Owner is responsible for K-C's overall technology vision, strategy and roadmap in relation to Asset Reliability. The IT Product Owner will partner with Global Supply Chain Manufacturing, regional and country asset reliability leaders to implement solutions to enable the business and financial objectives. The role will provide ongoing technology thought leadership, insights and recommendations for emerging and innovative technologies, and will define the ongoing roadmap and plan for building, deploying and adopting both enterprise and tactical capabilities that are needed to drive strategic business value and innovation.

This role requires deep knowledge of industry, best practice, business and incumbent functional area to be a trusted business advisor for the Functional Leaders in the Region. This role also provides strategic consulting for large, cross boundary and/or First-Of-A-Kind projects within the function.

The key to success to the IT Strategic Business Partner (BP) - Global Manufacturing is a broad knowledge of relevant manufacturing technologies and trends and compelling communication to business leadership how this enables future business capability. Another key to success is to be able to leverage the ITS organization to influence and drive successful delivery of standard solutions, considerate of local mill or sector needs and global direction and value. The incumbent works within a global matrix organization and needs to influence and coordinate both regional and global stakeholders. The BP is best located in Neenah, Wisconsin campus to enable the required collaboration with manufacturing asset reliability leadership.

The role requires excellent understanding and experience of manufacturing processes and its adjacent areas within the supply chain. General understanding and experiences across the domain with specific expertise in the SAP functions of PP, MM, IM/WM or PM/MRO, quality management, asset maintenance, engineering, production cost and efficiency management and the types of integrated IT manufacturing execution (MES) applications and architecture to support these functions are expected in this role.


Key Interfaces: Significant interaction and collaboration with senior Global and Local Manufacturing Asset Reliability leaders and Mill managers. Serves as a fiduciary on behalf of the GSC and IT on the management of ongoing technology investment budget as well as exploration and evaluation of new technologies & partnerships. Additionally, this role is a key collaborator with the IT Infrastructure Coordination and Delivery team to aid in the delivery mill infrastructure roadmap to ensure a healthy network. GSC Manufacturing will be the Product stakeholders and the role will work with a team of Delivery Engine Leadership, managed partner and external software vendors.

Key Accountabilities

* Partner with product stakeholders to develop and maintain the strategic vision and priorities for the product (process and technology aspects)

* Define and own product ROI, including budget and/or P&L, to maximize the value of the product over its life cycle

* Ensure that Total Cost of Ownership is considered, evaluated and acknowledged both by IT and product stakeholders before initiatives start

* Provide boundless leadership as the entrepreneur, performing mill and competitive analysis to inform operational efficiencies

* Partner with product stakeholders to manage feature and deployment roadmaps and measure and manage market adoption

* Maintain up-to-date and forward-looking view of future industry relevant technologies and trends

* Manage vendors to influence software roadmaps and delivery of features based on agreed SLAs and pricing models

* Provision technology, including vendor research, request for proposals, and partnering with Procurement on vendor selection and contracts

* Build relationships with internal and external service providers and support teams to ensure operating efficiency and stability, with stories of success and shared accountability

* Perform customer follow-up and maintain healthy customer satisfaction scores

* Ensure appropriate Service Level Agreements are in place based on business needs

* Other: * Decompose the strategic vision into releases comprised of minimal viable products * Actively guide and inspire the team around the vision and the feature priorities * Manage stakeholder expectations and requests for product changes * Articulate the strategic vision into tactical user stories * Create, manage, and prioritize product backlog to streamline execution of product objectives * Ensure that volume of work flowing to team optimizes team performance * Actively participate in Agile ceremonies

Key Qualifications and Experiences

* Minimum Bachelor's degree, ideally in IT or a business discipline, Masters preferred

* Minimum 5 years domain knowledge in IT Manufacturing Asset Reliability and manufacturing operations for a multinational Consumer Products Goods organization

* Actual real-life experience working in a plant is required

* Experience with capability/product development, including visioning, road mapping, feature prioritization and technologies required for delivery with 5 to 7 years of SAP process and configuration experience in manufacturing relevant modules. Experience with S4 a plus.

* Experience in supporting all phases of a SAP project life cycle including blueprint, design, build, test, deployment and support

* Solid understanding of the SAP architecture, interfaces and data models in manufacturing execution, asset reliability or warehouse management.

* Ability to maintain ROI / budget and influence P&L

* Ability to inspire a team to act as a small business jointly accountable for its product

* Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building skills conducive to collaboration at all levels

* Experience as a change agent at multiple levels of an organization

* Experience on an Agile team

* Certified Product Owner (preferred)

* Must excel at pro-actively identifying and implementing new tech platforms into the org, can build a high level of credibility and demonstrate strong initiative to move the organization in a new direction to:

* Be the face of technology for IT Manufacturing Asset Reliability and bridged any gaps between Global Supply Chain Asset Reliability and IT

* Extensive experience working with SAP and Asset Reliability and Plant Maintenance vendors

* Extensive expertise in educating others on the value and benefit of asset reliability and plant maintenance

* Excellent relationship management skills (collaboration, facilitation, communication) and the ability to engage business team members using business and industry terms
